Once again it's been soome time since I've been on here. Partly because of the holiday but mainly due to catching up and messing around with new pages.

Main news is the calendar I've added with a section for car-pooling. Little feedback at the moment so either it's hunky dory or no-one's interested. I'll leave it for a few months before trying to get it off the ground.

Time for a change again.

The previous entries here under the admin name are from the previous incarnation of my log. I've changed partly for the sake of it and partly that this looks more like a Web log. Easily installed and up and running in no time it appears this is going to be quicker to update and includes a comment section which was still in development on the old site.

Can't believe its a month since the last entry - not a very good performance and probably why I'm a regular on the BritBlogs Bottom of the hits charts. That and as has been said the ones at the bottom are generally boring anyway.

So the excuse is an habitual cold and messing around with other things on the websites.

As well as my contributions being missing from these pages I noticed that for the last week or so the SCSA news and NASCAR feeds have been missing as well. This has happened before but generally when I come back a few hours later they re-appear.Tidus Not so this time, or yet anyway. Ironically I bought a copy of the software just before the feed disappeared so I could host the feed myself. I raised a few points with the writer in particular the globals off scenario that screws me up for running PHP shopping carts and all appeared to be accounted for. Had a look through the script and saw there were variable instructions to get round the globals question. Downloaded script - more or less self instaling anyway, called the input page, looking good - put in the feed url and pressed view feed. Up popped the next page - blank. Tried the get code and again blank. Referred back to writer and unable to work out the problem. - not helped by the fact you have to use our host's ISP connection to access the server. Suggested solution is to move to the writers server and they'll host the site for me for free. Tempting but not for now.

Have discovered RSS Digest and trying out the feed from there. Works at first attempt so could be on to a good thing. The site says there's a new version about to go public which sounds good - having the ability to combine feeds. SCSA and F1 stox don't have much to say for themselves so combining a few feeds may give a better turnover without going stale.

Here's hoping...
